Specialists of the Department “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine”, NRFU, regularly provide information and organisational support to the National Contact Points of the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe, as well as participate as speakers.

Thus, on June 10, Leading Officer of the Office Yuliia Reminska delivered a presentation on “Practical Guide to Using the Documents of the Horizon Europe Programme: How to Strengthen the Argumentation of a Project Proposal” at the information and training seminar on the preparation of project applications for participation in calls under Cluster 6, organised by the NCP Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment.

During her speech, the speaker informed about the features of strategic, conceptual, and project documents necessary for high-quality writing of project applications for participation in the Programme calls. In her report, the expert described how to incorporate the ideas of the Strategic Plan into the concept of the project application, the algorithm for using and processing the General Annexes to the Work Programme 2025 with recommendations for reading them and the rules for complying with legal requirements and criteria for preparing application forms. Particular attention was paid to the rules for the formation of consortia, with an emphasis on the special conditions for the formation of partnerships specific to Cluster 6.

Besides, in the context of the thematic focus of the event, the Leading Officer additionally provided recommendations on searching and analysing the EU policy documents, the subject of legal regulation of which are food, biodiversity conservation and protection, as well as circular economy.

On the same day, June 10, another training event was organised by the NCP Climate, Energy and Mobility, dedicated to the preparation and submission of project proposals for participation in the Horizon Europe calls. Tayisiya Symochko, Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Leading Officer, was among the other leading speakers.

The representative of the Office provided information on the correct reading of the terms of the call’s topics. The speaker presented the general rules for studying the text of call topics that should not be overlooked, what aspects should be paid special attention to and must be included in the project application in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission. She also spoke about the most common mistakes that applicants often make. Finally, using the example of a specific call, Tayisiyia Symochko demonstrated how to study its terms and conditions and what to focus on.

The event was a great opportunity for participants to improve their knowledge to prepare and submit successful applications for participation in Horizon Europe calls. The previous training of the Grantwriting School, held by the NCP Climate, Energy and Mobility, took place on May 28 with the participation of Nataliya Didenko, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU.
