On September 18, the staff members of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held an online consultation for the team of the SI “Expert Training Center of the State Agency of Ukraine for the Development of Land Reclamation, Fisheries and Food Programs”, represented by Stanislav Kutsenko, Deputy Director of the Expert Training Center, and his colleagues, representatives of the NGO “Association of Innovative and Digital Education” (AIDE).

The applicants were interested in participating in European Union grant programmes, in particular the Horizon Europe programme, and required expert assistance. Among other things, they were interested in calls within the framework of the activities of the Expert Training Center, as well as the opportunities and specifics of participation for Ukrainian organisations.

The Office’s specialists provided comprehensive answers with presentations to all questions raised by potential applicants. In particular, general information about the Programme and calls related to the activities of the State Agency for Fisheries were highlighted. In addition, detailed information was provided on the EU Funding and Tenders Portal as a tool for participating in the Programme, searching for calls and partners, registering an organisation on the Portal, etc.

The State Agency for Fisheries was established to implement state policy in the fishing industry of Ukraine. Its activities are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Agrarian Policy. The Expert Training Center was established with the aim of modernizing the approaches to acquiring practical skills for qualified specialists, implementing ideas of youth startups, and restoring the institutional memory of the industry. The Center operates under an outstaffing program and has the ability to act as stakeholders in national and international programmes.
