In April 2026, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, hosted Ukrainian research and policy makers for the RIFF Study Visits. Intensive 5-day programme focused on the development and management of research infrastructures, and gathered together representatives of leading Ukrainian institutions for an intensive week of exchange and learning focused on research infrastructures (RIs). On April 29, the second day of the information dissemination event “Grant Opportunities from the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and support tools within the Horizon Europe Programme”, organised by the NRFU team, took place in Poltava. On this day, participants received information on the legal aspects of the selecting calls process and the providing of grant support of the NRFU, as well as on financial awareness and the culture of preparing the financial and economic sections of grant applications and project budgets under the NRFU. The 2026 edition of the JRC National Contact Points Annual Meeting took place on April 20-22. This three-day event brought together NCPs from EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries for an in-person meeting dedicated to strengthening collaboration, exchanging knowledge, and aligning priorities for the year ahead. Liudmyla Lisova, a Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, who is also the NCP for this area, represented Ukraine at the event. (more…)
