We are pleased to inform about new content on the ERA Platform on how Horizon Europe supports the implementation of the European Research Area. You can find the content in the main menu under ‘ERA in Horizon Europe’.
Each webpage includes a short explainer on Horizon Europe support to a specific ERA policy priority, a showcase of key resources, tools and videos from funded activities, and an overview of past and new calls.
This content results from the joint Feedback-to-Policy work of RTD and REA, with the objectives to:
✓ Communicate more effectively about the links between the framework programme and the ERA policy, allowing to highlight contributions to the ERA from different Work Programme parts (e.g., WIDERA, Research Infrastructures, Clusters);
✓ Strengthen promotion and exploitation of project results by stakeholders in Member States and Associated Countries;
✓ Provide information for potential applicants to the Work Programme to develop synergies and complementarities with current projects and results.
This content is a work in progress and will be continuously updated, including to reflect the contribution of the framework programme to the next ERA Policy Agenda.
Expanding international cooperation: The Office participated in a working meeting with representatives of Lund University
On November 7, specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in a meeting of the University Working Group on academic assistance to Ukraine at Lund University in Sweden. Employees of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU are constantly improving their skills, including through relevant training from the EC, in order to provide useful and necessary information to stakeholders on opportunities for additional funding from the EU, in particular the Horizon Europe Programme. Thus, on November 6, the Office’s specialists took part in an online training event on EU grant opportunities for regions and local authorities to promote climate resilience. The event, organised within the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, joined 175 participants.(more…)

Information about the forthcoming call under the WIDERA
Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU informs about the forthcoming call for proposals within the component “Widening participation and strengthening the European research area” (WIDERA) of Horizon Europe, which will be open from December 3, 2024.
Teaming is one of the actions that stimulates the European Union to exploit its potential by maximising and spreading the benefits of research and innovation. It is vital for its competitiveness and its ability to address societal challenges.
The Teaming action is designed to support the creation of new centres of excellence or modernising the existing ones in low R&I performing countries (except those centres of excellence that have already benefitted from previous Teaming calls). It is building on partnerships between leading scientific institutions in the European landscape and the main beneficiary institutions in low R&I performing countries that display the willingness to engage together for this purpose. This can help countries that are lagging behind in terms of research and innovation performance attaining a competitive position in the global value chains.
