Specialists of HEOinUA joined the German-Ukrainian Workshop on Best Practice in Research and Development Funding
On July 16, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF) together with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine held an online event dedicated to the best research and development funding practices. Employees of the department Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in the joint event. The workshop was organized to expand the boundaries of cooperation, exchange of experience and knowledge in order to improve activities in the area of grant support for scientists, researchers and innovators of both countries.(more…)
A special call for Ukraine for 5 million EUR under the EU’s Creative Europe Programme in 2025 has been announced
On July 9, a meeting of the committee of the EU’s Creative Europe Programme took place in Brussels. During the meeting, it was announced that Ukraine would receive an additional targeted €5 million in 2025 as part of a special call “Support to Ukrainian displaced people and the Ukrainian Cultural and Creative Sectors”.(more…)
The EIT Community New European Bauhaus (NEB) invites applicants to submit proposals for funding through its community-focused Connect NEB Call for Proposals, which focuses on citizen-generated solutions to the challenges facing cities, peri-urban and rural areas. On July 10, representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in a regular meeting of the Focus Group on business cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. Participation of HEOinUA specialists in the information event dedicated to the Research Fund Coal and Steel calls in 2024
Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU actively continue to participate in online events organised by the European Commission on various aspects of Horizon Europe. Thus, on July 4, the employees joined the information day dedicated to the actual calls 2024 under the EU funding programme supporting research and demonstration projects in the coal and steel sectors of the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS).
The speakers highlighted such topics as:
the general policy of grant support
supporting RFCS of the coal sector
innovations breakthrough technologies in the steel sector with a focus on low-carbon steelmaking under the Horizon Europe Clean Steel partnership
funding projects that comply with the Just Transition Mechanism and will facilitate the transition to a digital, green and circular economy in the coal and steel industries
preparation of grant application
making a budget
evaluation process.
The event was organised by the European Research Executive Agency (REA) with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation’s Low Emission Future Industries team.

On July 3, representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in a webinar Nature-based Solutions: Devising actions to achieve and far-reaching transformational adaptation. The online event was devoted to nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation with a focus on identifying the root causes of climate problems, including different typologies and implementation on the ground, financing mechanisms, as well as possible replication and scaling of such solutions.(more…)
